a good time to give

I'm so happy to tell you that you helped us raise about $400 on Friday at the Richland farmers market to be donated to Harmony Outreach.  Harmony Outreach is an organization that reaches out to orphans and vulnerable people in China, Ethiopia and Cambodia.  To learn more or to get involved you can check out their website http://www.harmonyoutreach.org/.

We are aware of the fact that the business that we are in is a very indulgent one and a completely dispensable one at that.  Not that dessert and pastry is bad it's just not part of an essential need.  When you boil it down we are basically in the business of selling small bits of happiness and pleasure.  It's a fun and rewarding profession but we believe that we can and should take it a step further, and God willing, do what we can to bless those less fortunate.  We plan on donating our profit from the farmers market one Friday a month to Harmony Outreach.

so good to see you!

Hi friends, well I promoted our blog all day at the Richland farmers market and so I thought I better meet you all here.  I'm new to blogging but I have so much fun stuff to share with you.  Jamie and I plan on keeping you up to date on what's going on at the patisserie as well as give you a glimpse of what it takes to start a business from scratch and nurture it into [hopefully] a booming success.  And, I have to say that after days like today you make me feel like it's possible.  We so appreciate your interest and your willingness to cheer us on.  Last year we became accustomed to seeing many of you week after week and after a loooong winter we are ecstatic to see you back this season.  And, if you're just meeting us for the first time, we are so happy you're here and can't wait to get to know you better...and bake you something delicious!

pastries at sunrise

We pride ourselves on making the best pastries around. Although we don't have a store front shop you can find our product at Barracuda Coffee Co. in Richland.  We bake everything fresh using only premium local ingredients with absolutely no preservatives.  They don't make a bad "cup a joe" either.  Thruth be told it's the best coffee in town and the service is lovely.
